fitLOCALfit is proud to be San Francisco’s first network of Green gyms and yoga studios, certified by the San Francisco Department of Environment and the CA Green Business Program.

Steps we’ve taken toward sustainability:

• fitSUNSETfit, fitGLENfit, and the Sunporch Yoga Studio are solar powered.

• Reclaimed and recycled building materials utilized.

• We use natural light, open windows and ceiling fans for ventilation.

• New plumbing minimizes water consumption.

• 75% of our cardio equipment is battery or user powered.

• Energy star rated appliances including computers, lights and fans.

• Studio props are locally sourced, eco-conscious products.

• We compost and recycle 100% of daily consumed waste.

• We deploy non-toxic, natural cleaners, recycled paper products, and natural hand sanitizers.

• We encourage members to walk, jog or bike to the gym rather than drive.

• We offer filtered water in lieu of bottled water.

• We use soy or vegetable dyes and recycled and tree-free materials.

• We support local and are members community business alliances

• We provide recycled flour sack workout towels upon signup instead of laundering single-use towels.
  
  

Things you can help us do to stay green:

• Walk, jog, bike, or take public transportation to the gym

• Bring a reusable water bottle and your workout towel 

• Reduce electricity consumption by adjusting the fans and lights when not in use.
