Training Philosophy

Exercise is a celebration of what your body can do, not a punishment for something you ate. You do not have to make your body smaller to have value. Make room in your life for the things you love, including delicious food and rest days. You do not have to exercise to earn your food.

These are some of the guiding principles at the center of Ellie’s training philosophy. We all know that creating a meaningful movement practice can offer many benefits, including improved sleep, better balance and coordination, sharper concentration, increased energy, and well balanced brain chemistry to name just a few. Beyond that, Ellie’s approach to training focuses on creating an empathetic and healthy relationship between you, your body, food and movement. By incorporating functional movement, modifications, varied intervals and most importantly by actively listening to clients about their experience and making sure each client feels heard and supported, Ellie will always work towards creating a safe and encouraging space for people to push, inspire, and accept themselves. Come as you are, you are always welcome.

In addition to her 10 plus years of experience in Personal Training, Pilates, Yoga, Kettlebells, Paddleboard Fitness, Group Exercise, Pre/Post natal exercise and TRX, Ellie is also a certified Body Image and Eating Disorder Recovery Coach. Her mission is to push back against diet culture, weight stigma, body shame and bad-faith health and wellness culture and clear a path for people to move, appreciate and inhabit their bodies with joy and freedom.
